I
get a DirectDraw Error when starting Kablooey Redux.
Kablooey
Redux requires DirectX 7 or better. If you get this
error, double check your version of DirectX. Also
make sure you have the latest, certified drivers
for your video card and sound card.
The
buckets hiccup or stutter irregularly during game
play.
Kablooey
Redux has been designed to be extremely friendly
to your operating system and not hog the whole system
during play. However, if other applications are
running that are intensive, it can 'steal time'
away from Kablooey Redux and cause your buckets
to 'hiccup'. This is usually programs like Outlook
(checking mail) or other heavy internet apps. We
recommend you close intensive applications while
enjoying this game.
Kablooey
Redux accesses the Internet when I play! Does it contain
spyware? Is my privacy being invaded?
Kablooey
Redux does not have any spyware or privacy
invasive routines! The game sends your score to
our Worldwide High Score database for inclusion
on the site. Your entered initials and score are
all the information that is transmitted back to
our servers. This can be turned off in OPTIONS from
the main menu. We do NOT look at your system in
any way. We don't like people invading our privacy;
we respect that in our games.
The
game runs WAY too fast! The game can't be THAT hard!
Some
video cards allow you to disable VSYNC to enable
some games to run faster than they were intended
or exploit some other feature in a game. If you
have VSYNC turned off on your card, please re-enable
it to play Kablooey Redux. Check your manufacturer's
documentation.
Zone
Alarm crashes my computer when it alerts me to Kablooey
Redux accessing the internet.
Make
sure you tell your firewall software to allow Kablooey
Redux access to the internet, turn off the firewall,
or turn off internet scoring in the OPTIONS menu.
This uses a common port, 80, so most firewalls should
have any problem with the game. However, testers
have expressed an issue with Zone Alarm with high
security set.
